1. This petition has been filed praying for a direction to the police authorities to give protection to the petitioners as they have married without their parents' approval.
2. It has been submitted that both the petitioners are major and have performed their marriage out of their own sweet will and against their parents' wishes. The marriage was performed according to Muslim rites on 11.12.2019.
3. Learned Standing Counsel on the basis of the instructions received has submitted that an F.I.R. in Case Crime No.890 of 2019 has been filed under Section 366 I.P.C. by Sri Munna s/o Sri Lal Mohammad with regard to the abduction of petitioner no.1-Sahana.
4. In case the petitioners have married and are major, they may approach the S.H.O., Police Station Kotwali Karvi, Chitrakoot, who shall produce the petitioner no.1 before the Chief Judicial Magistrate concerned for her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C.. The Magistrate concerned shall appropriate orders in accordance with law.
5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
