Petitioner had filed Exts.P5 and P6 appeals against orders passed by the appellate authorities. At the first appellate stage, the petitioner had already remitted 30% of the amount demanded. During the pendency of appeals, petitioner is faced with demand notices as Exts.P9 and P10. Petitioner therefore, seeks appropriate directions for stay of Exts.P9 and P10 till the disposal of the appeals. 2. Heard the learned Government Pleader.
3. Having regard to the contentions urged by the petitioner in the appeals, I am of the view that it is for the appellate authority to dispose of the stay petitions Exts.P7 and P8 in accordance with law.
4. In the result, this writ petition is disposed of as under:

No. 25911 of 2014 Since the petitioner had already paid 30% of the amount during the first appellate stage, there will be a direction to the 3rd respondent to dispose of Exts.P7 and P8 within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Until such time, further proceedings pursuant to Exts.P9 and P10 shall be kept in abeyance.
