JUDGMENT / ORDER

Application filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
2. Petitioner is the accused in Crime No.743 of 2014 of the Kolavalloor Police Station registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341 and 332 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. On 10.09.2014 at about 04.00 p.m. the de facto complainant who was the acting Postman of the Kadavahur Post Office reached the house of the petitioner, for disbursing the pension to the handicapped niece of the petitioner. At that time the petitioner demanded the amount from the de facto complainant. As the de facto complainant was not willing to part with the amount to the petitioner, the petitioner attacked the de facto complainant and caught hold of his neck and wrongfully restrained him thereby deterring him from the discharge of his official duty.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor.

5. I have perused the C.D. The contents of the CD prima facie reveal that the complicity of the petitioner. The allegation against the petitioner are very grave and serious. Considering the seriousness of the allegations against the petitioner, I am satisfied that the petitioner is not entitled to the discretionary relief of anticipatory bail.
In the result, this bail application is dismissed.
