This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief:
"(ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus to the respondent nos. 1 to 6 to ensure that the representation of the petitioner is decided with application of mind, promptly and steps are taken in pursuance thereof."
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case,this writ petition is finally disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to file an application under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 ventilating his grievances before the appropriate authority and if any such application is filed, the same shall be considered and decided expeditiously in accordance with law.
