Ashok Jeerige ..Respondents (Respondents 2 to 4 impleaded as per order of this Court dated 4.10.203 in M.P.No.1 of 2013 in W.P.No.18883 of 2013) Writ Petition under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to expedite the appeal filed by the petitioner on 16.8.2012 and pass appropriate orders within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.
For Petitioner : Mr.T.Sundaravadanam For 1st respondent : Mr.S.Navaneethan, Additional Government Pleader For respondents 2 & 3: Mr.S.T.Raja for M/s.Om Sairam Associates For 4th respondent : No appearance O R D E R Aggrieved by the final order passed by the District Registrar in Proceedings Na.Ka.No.2957/U/2012 dated 27.7.2012 cancelling the Registration of Document No.8007/2011 dated 14.12.2011, the petitioner has preferred an appeal on 16.8.2012 before the first respondent but till date no order has been passed in the aforesaid Appeal. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the aforesaid prayer.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer made, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 16.8.2012 on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording opportunity to the parties concerned.
3. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
