JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE K.K.SASIDHARAN and THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE M.V. MURALIDARAN Review Application Nos.109 and 110 of 2017 in W.P.Nos.28309 and 24552 of 2013 S.Sudhagaran ... Applicant in both Rev.Applns.
Vs
1. Superintending Engineer-I Electricity Department Government of Puducherry Puducherry.
2. Registrar Central Administrative Tribunal Madras Bench Chennai 600 104. ..Respondents in both Rev.Applns.
Review Applications filed under Order 47 Rule 1 r/w Section 114 of Civil Procedure Code to review the orders passed by this Court on 18.12.2014 in W.P.Nos.28309 and 24552 of 2013.
For Applicant : Mr.P.Ganesan For Respondents : Mr.K.Dhananjayan, Special Government Pleader O R D E R K.K.SASIDHARAN,J.
The applicant filed these review applications to review the common order dated 18 December 2014 dismissing the writ petitions filed by him, challenging the order passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal declining to quash the order impugned in the Original Applications.
2. We have heard the learned counsel for the applicant.
3. The applicant appears to have obtained Diploma in Electrical Engineering by joining correspondence course. The Recruitment Rules framed by the Government of Puducherry provides that the candidate must have obtained Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or its equivalent Diploma issued by a recognised institution/technical board with three years of experience after acquiring Diploma.
4. It is the admitted case of the applicant that he has not joined any regular course. He joined correspondence course and obtained the Diploma in Electrical Engineering. The post in question is Junior Engineer in Electricity Department. There is no question of appointing a person who got the Diploma by joining correspondence course. This aspect was considered by the Division Bench and the writ petitions were rightly rejected. We do not find any error in the said order liable for correction by exercising the review jurisdiction.
5. None of the grounds raised by the applicant would come within the scope of Order 47 Rule 1 of the Code of Civil Procedure. We are, therefore, of the view that there is absolutely no merit in the contention taken by the applicant.
In the upshot, we dismiss the review applications. No costs.
