The Government of Tamil Nadu rep. By Secretary to Government, Home Department, Chennai – 9. .. Respondent Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records of the respondent relating to the order in G.O.(2D) No.100 Home (Police IV.A) Department dated 27.02.2008, quash the same and issue consequential directions to the respondent to include the petitioner's name in the panel of Sub Inspector of Police fit for promotion as Inspector of Police for the year 2009-2010 and to promote him as such with retrospective effect from the date of promotion of his immediate junior with consequential benefits without prejudice to his claim for inclusion in 2006-2007 panel and promotion.
For Petitioner .. Mr.M.Ravi For Respondent .. Mr.T.M.Pappiah, Spl. Govt. Pleader ORDER Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
2.In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
