JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the Appeal Petition dated 24.04.2017, pending on the file of the 2nd respondent, in accordance with law, within a time frame.
2. Mr.G.Mohanakrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed the appeal on 24.04.2017, the 2nd respondent has not disposed of the same yet.
3. Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to dispose the Appeal Petition dated 24.04.2017 filed by the petitioner, after giving notice to all the interested parties, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
