Public Prosecutor For R2 : Appeared in person ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records relating to FIR in Crime No.5 of 2015 pending on the file of the first respondent and quash the same.
2. Today, the petitioners along with their counsel on record and the second respondent/ defacto complainant are present. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent is also present. The identity of the parties is verified. They have submitted that the dispute between them has been amicably settled. They have also filed a joint compromise memo dated 08.03.2017 signed by all the parties to that effect. When this Court enquired the parties, particularly, second respondent / defacto complainant, about the factum of compromise and the terms of the compromise, she admitted the same. She also expressed no objection in quashing the FIR in Crime No.5/2015 registered against the petitioners herein.
3. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the FIR in Crime No.5 of 2015 pending on the file of the first respondent is quashed. The Joint Compromise Memo dated 08.03.2017 signed by all the parties is taken on record.
