Heard Dr. Akhilesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
The petitioner is currently posted as an Inspector in the U.P. Police. He claims that he is entitled to the benefit of services rendered by him in the Indian Army.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that the grant of benefit of services rendered in the Indian Army is an issue which needs to be examined by the competent authority.
It is open to the petitioner to submit a representation regarding his grievance of getting the benefits of service rendered in the Indian Army in the Police service in which he is currently employed. In case, such representation is filed along with copy of this order, the respondent no, 2 shall decide the same preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with a copy of the representation.
The writ petition is disposed of.
