With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he was issued Passport bearing No.E 2327152 on 10.06.2002, which was valid till 09.06.2012. In the said passport, the date of birth of the petitioner was shown as 04.02.1980 whereas the petitioner was actually born on 15.06.1986. Requesting to correct the date of birth in the passport records and to re-issue passport, the petitioner has submitted an application on 11.04.2014. In support of his claim that he was actually born on 15.06.1986, the petitioner submitted the Secondary School Certificate issued by the Board of Secondary Education.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the Secondary School Certificate was enclosed to the Passport application when he applied for passport in the year 2002, but contrary to the document enclosed, wrong entry was made. He further contends that in spite of submission of an application on 11.03.2014, so far no orders are passed, whereas there is urgency for him to obtain a passport since he has to go abroad for personal reasons.

Having regard to the submissions made, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Regional Passport Officer, Secunderabad (2nd respondent) is directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 11.04.2014 taking into consideration the entry made in the Secondary School Certificate and take a decision and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
