Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.1352 of 2015 under Section 173 (2) Cr.P.C. within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police as against one Raja and his father and the same was registered in Crime No.1352 of 2015. Though the said complaint was registered as early as on 28.4.2015, thereafter, there is no progress in the investigation and till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, on instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation in Crime No.1352 of 2015 was over and the charge sheet is made ready. Thus, he seeks time to file the charge sheet.
4. In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court grants six weeks time from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to the respondent to file final report in Crime No.1352 of 2015. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
