Respondents Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tiruvannamalai to expedite the proceedings in S.T.C.No.263 of 2013 under the Domestic Violence Act filed by the petitioner herein, within a specified time as early as possible.
For Petitioner : Mr.M.Rebecca ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tiruvannamalai to expedite the proceedings in S.T.C.No.263 of 2013.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner has filed a petition under Domestic Violence Act in S.T.C.No.263 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tiruvannamalai and the same is pending without any progress. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition to dispose of the said case at an early date.
3. Mrs.M.Rebecca, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that earlier the matter was referred to mediation and since the matter was not settled, then, again the matter was referred to the Court and for nearly 4 years there is no progress in the trial and the mater is still pending.
4. Since no adverse order is passed as against the respondent notice to the respondent is dispensed with. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the entire materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and taking into consideration of the fact that the complaint is pending from 2013, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tiruvannamalai to expedite the trial in S.T.C.No.263 of 2013 pending on his file and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
