Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 25.08.2016 in the light of the order in Ku.No.19-2222-D2, TNSTC-2015, dated 26.05.2016 within a fixed time frame.

2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 25.08.2016 in the light of the order dated 26.05.2016 within a time frame.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed the appeal as early as on 25.08.2016, the 1st respondent has not disposed of the same yet.
4. Mr.R.K.Gandhi, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the the 1st respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal, in accordance with law, within a time frame.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 25.08.2016, in the light of the order dated 26.05.2016, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
