This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to grant license for running Saw Mill/ Wood Based Industries at 345/8, Sammatti Viduthi Village, S. Melapatti, Pdukottai Taluk and District under the name and style of ?Punitha Sepasthiyar Saw Mill? on the application which is pending for consideration and also in pursuance of the petitioner's representation dated 12.10.2016.
2.Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself.
4.The grievance of the petitioner is that even though an application was made as early as on 22.05.2012 seeking for a licence, the same has not been considered sofar, in spite of reminder/representation given on 12.10.2016.
5.On the other hand, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's application will be considered by the second respondent, in the light of the direction issued by the Honourable Supreme Court in respect of the connected matters, within the time stipulated by this Court.
6.Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner on the merits of the matter, I only direct the second respondent to consider the application/representation of the Petitioner, dated 12.10.2016 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
