This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Coimbatore to pass orders in the Protest Petition filed by the de facto complainant in C.M.P.No.1358 of 2015 within a stipulated time frame.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the protest petition filed by the de facto complainant in the year 2005 is still pending before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Coimbatore, and he only seeks for a direction to dispose of the protest petition at an early date.
3. Since the prayer made by the petitioner is a limited one and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Coimbatore is directed to dispose of the protest petition filed by the de facto complainant in C.M.P.No.1358 of 2005, pending on his file, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
