JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to comply with the order dated 11.03.2016 passed in Crl.M.P.No.491 of 2016 by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tindivanam, within a stipulated time frame.
2. The matter relates to seizure of the petitioner's car, by the respondent, on the ground that the said car was used for transporting liquor bottles. The petitioner filed a petition in Crl.M.P.No.491 of 2016 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tindivanam and the Magistrate has passed an order dated 11.03.2016 to produce the said vehicle before him. Since the same was not complied with by the respondent, the present Criminal Original Petition is filed.
3. When this Criminal Original Petition was taken up, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the confiscation proceedings relating to the petitioner's car in question, is already over and final order has been passed.
4. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, no further adjudication is necessary in this Criminal Original Petition. Accordingly, recording the statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, if the petitioner is aggrieved, he can challenge the final order passed in the confiscation proceedings.
