JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to issue a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner in connection with the complaint launched by the de facto complainant by name Veerappan.
2. It is stated by the petitioner that he supplied bricks worth Rs.48,000/- and sand worth Rs.22,000/- to the de facto complainant, on condition that the amounts will be paid to the petitioner within three months. But no amount was paid to the petitioner even after three months. When the petitioner approached the de facto complainant, the de facto complainant threatened him and lodged false complaints against the petitioner and the same were closed after the de facto complainant himself had given undertakings before the police that he would work out the remedy before the Court or through Panchayat. On 10.01.2016, a police person from the District Crime Branch, Dharmapuri District, came to the house of the petitioner and threatened the petitioner's wife that the petitioner should surrender before the second respondent police. This was made on one another complaint made by the de facto complainant. He further submits that under the guise of enquiry, the second respondent police is harassing the petitioner. Hence this Criminal Original Petition.
3. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner failed to appear before the respondent police for early disposal of the complaint.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
5. To give a quietus to the issue, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent police on 30.01.2017, for enquiry. On such appearance, the second respondent shall enquire the petitioner and dispose of the complaint in accordance with law.
6. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
