S. Clament vs The Tamil Nadu Water Supply And

Madras High Court|13 September, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed the writ petition challenging the order dated 15.06.2004 wherein the second respondent cancelled the regularisation order issued already in favour of the petitioner and consequently direct the respondents to treat the petitioner's services as having been regularised with effect from 07.12.1986
2. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has produced the Government Order in G.O(Ms).No.111 dated 29.09.2006 wherein 872 persons (petitioner and other similarly placed persons) who are consolidated pay employees of Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board were regularised with effect from 01.08.2006.
3. In view of the above submission, this court feels that the impugned order has become infructuous and nothing survives for adjudication in the writ petition. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to workout his remedy, if so aggrieved against the said Government Order stated supra.
In the result, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
