Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the first respondent Police to produce the body or person of the detenue, who is the petitioner's daughter, namely, C.Jayalakshmi, before this Court and set her at liberty to the petitioner.

O R D E R
(Order of this Court was made by Justice S.MANIKUMAR) C.Jayalakshmi, aged 19 years, is the daughter of the petitioner. Alleging that the 2nd respondent is illegally detaining her daughter, the petitioner has filed this Writ of Habeas Corpus, to produce her before this Court and to set her at liberty.
2. Earlier, based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case in Cr.No.1438 of 2016, has been registered, under the caption, "woman missing".
3. On this day, Inspector of Police, K2 Ayanavaram Police Station, Chennai, has produced the alleged detenue, C.Jayalakshmi, before this Court. On enquiry, she submitted that the 2nd respondent is closely related to her. They were in love and married. She denied the allegation of illegal detention or torture by the 2nd respondent.
4. Posed with a question, as to whether, the 2nd respondent is related to the alleged detenue, Mr.N.Raja Senthoor Pandian, learned counsel for the petitioner acknowledged the same.
5. As the allegation of illegal detention has been emphatically denied, there is no case for issuance of any Habeas Corpus. Hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
