For Petitioner : No Appearance For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentren, APP ORDER (Order of the Court was delivered by S.NAGAMUTHU. J. ) The petitioner is the mother of of the detenue - Ms.Vinodhini, aged 19 years. Ms.Vinodhini is doing B.C.A., at A.D.M. College for Women in Nagapattinam. According to the petitioner, she has been missing from 21.02.2017. The petitioner has got suspicion that the detenue is illegally detained by some one. Therefore, she has come up with this petition.
2. Today, on a mention made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this case was listed in the special list and taken up for hearing at 01.00 p.m. Since there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner, the matter was adjourned and, in fact, through display board it was also announced that the case would be taken up at 02.15 p.m. At 02.15 p.m. when the case was taken up, there was no representation for the petitioner. The detenue was produced again by the 2nd respondent. The detenue told us that on her own volition she went out of her parental home and married Mr.Manikandan and she has been living with him as his wife. She would further state she is not illegally detained by anyone. The statement is recorded.
3. In view of the above, the Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the detenue to choose her own way of life.
