Sri A.H.Sunitha, Advocate for R-4) These Writ Petitions are filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, praying to quash Annexure-J the appointment order dated 02.11.2016 issued by the respondent No.2 in favour of respondent No.3 as Chairman of the SC/ST Commission and etc.
These Writ Petitions coming on for Orders, this day, the Court made the following:
ORDER The petitioners had challenged the appointment of respondent No.3 as Chairman of the Karnataka State Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.4 has filed a memo and has produced copy of the notification dated 29.05.2018 whereby, the appointment of respondent No.3 has been terminated. Accordingly, prayer (a) does not survive for consideration.
3. Insofar as prayer (b) is concerned, whereby the petitioners have sought for an issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to consider the representation of petitioner No.6 for appointment as Chairman of the Karnataka State Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. It is open to the Government to examine the representation of petitioner No.6 in accordance with law.
These petitions are accordingly disposed of.
