The petitioner is the convener of a Thozhilali Samithy of all the unions, that has been granted the privilege to conduct toddy shops in Group No. 1 of the Varkala Excise Range. He has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to consider Exhibit P2 application. The petitioner has submitted Exhibit P2 application for the issue of a permit to transport toddy from Palakkad for the purpose of vending the same in the toddy shops conducted by him. The said application is pending before the second respondent. 2. According to the Government Pleader, the respondent would pass necessary orders on Exhibit P2, without delay.
In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider Exhibit P2 application, in accordance with law and to pass appropriate W.P.(C) No.33733 of 2014-N -:2:-
orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two weeks of the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
