JUDGMENT / ORDER

Being aggrieved of Ext.P1 assessment order and Ext.P2 order imposing penalty, the petitioner has already availed the statutory remedy by way of Exts.P3 & P4 appeals, which are pending consideration before the 2nd respondent. Grievance is with regard to the coercive proceedings taken in the meanwhile, setting the machinery under the Revenue Recovery Act in motion.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the appeals have already been heard and that orders are awaited.
3. The learned Government Pleader submits on instructions that, Ext.P3 appeal in respect of the assessment was finally heard on 23.10.2014, pursuant to which, some remarks have been called for and orders are still to be passed. With regard to Ext.P4 appeal, it is pointed out that the matter stands listed for final hearing on 06.11.2014.
4. In the above circumstances, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass final orders in the appeals, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within 'one month'
WP(c). No. 28075 of 2014 2 from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Coercive proceedings, if any, shall be kept in abeyance till such time.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
The petitioner shall produce a copy of this judgment along with a copy of this writ petition before the concerned respondent for further steps.
