JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had placed before this Court a communication from the District Collector, Theni District, dated 27.6.2009, in Roc.No.25451/2009/A1, wherein it has been stated that the petitioner had been included in the panel of Tahsildars for the year, 2001 and he had been promoted to the cadre of Tahsildar, on 16.12.2002. Further, the petitioner had retired from service, on 31.1.2007, in the cadre of Tahsildar, on his attaining the age of superannuation. Hence, no further orders are required to passed in the writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has not refuted the submissions of the learned counsel for the respondents.
4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition. Hence, recording the same, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
