Petitioners have submitted Ext.P7 application before the Income Tax Authority requesting for private sale of the property attached. Petitioners rely upon Exts.P5 and P6 agreements for sale. According to them, if the Income Tax Department permits the property to be sold in terms with Exts.P5 and P6, they will be able to pay the amount due to the Income Tax Department.
2. Heard learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the respondents that Ext.P7 has been submitted only on 04/10/2014 and they require atleast four weeks time to consider the request of the petitioners.
Having regard to the aforesaid submission, I am of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of as under:
Respondents shall consider Ext.P7 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
