JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to expedite the disposal of the case pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, FTC at Magistrate Level, Madurai in S.T.C.No.270 of 2015 within a time frame.
2. Heard Mr.R.Venkatesan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the records.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the case was registered for the offences under Sections 138 and 142 of Negotiable Instruments Act and Section 200 of Cr.P.C., and was taken on file as in STC.No.270 of 2015, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, FTC at Magisterial Level, Madurai, there was no progress in the case. The case is prolonged unnecessarily without any reasonable cause and it is a case in which the respondent has cheated to the tune of Rs.15,90,000/-.
4.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:
?The learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, FTC at Magisterial Level, Madurai, is directed dispose of the case in STC.No.270 of 2015, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.?
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
