Madras High Court|03 January, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to re-fix the pay scale of the petitioner.
2.Heard both sides.
3.Though the petitioner has come out with this writ petition with the above said prayer, today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would contend that in respect of the prayer, the petitioner had given a representation to the second respondent on 21.06.2010 and if the same is directed to be considered and to pass a reasonable order, the petitioner would be satisfied.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would contend though in the said representation itself the petitioner has mentioned that his request was already considered and some order seems to have been passed, the present representation can be decided by considering the same by the second respondent in accordance with law.
5.In view of the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 21.06.2010, regarding his service grievance of fixing higher pay scale, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
