R.Rajaselvan vs The State Of Tamil Nadu

Madras High Court|02 August, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J) This writ petition has been filed for directing the respondent University authorities to immediately inaugurate certain newly constructed college buildings. The petitioner has given a list of nine college buildings in his affidavit.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the respective Universities.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the fourth University pointed out that the allegations made in the writ petition are baseless.
4.The learned counsel for the respondents took us through the tabular column in the petitioner's affidavit item wise. For instance, Alagappa University has no constituent college at Kadaladi, Muthukulathur and Thiruvadanai. It appears that the writ petition has been filed taking inspiration from some media report, which has no basis.
5.We therefore find no reason to entertain this writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
To The Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, State of Tamil Nadu, Fort St. George, Chennai.
