JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.Varun Kumar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writs of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of his representation dated 25.5.2017, by cancelling the demand of Rs.1,38,346/- wrongly levied against the Electricity Service connection at Sri Ramachandra Modern Rice Mill, Panayapuram Po., Villupuram District.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given a representation as early as on 25.05.2017 to cancel the demand made by the respondents, the 2nd respondent has not passed any order so far. Further, the learned counsel submitted that the demand of Rs.1,36,346/- by the 2nd respondent is erroneous and without any basis.
4. Mr.Varun Kumar, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law, within two weeks' time.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2017 and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
