Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, calling for the records relating to the detention order in Memo No.363/BCDFGISSSV/2017 dated 17.06.2017 passed by the respondent under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and set aside the same and direct the respondent to produce the petitioner's son Kumar @ Bulb Kumar, Son of Kondaiya, aged about 31 years, the detenu now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Court and set the petitioner's son at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.T.V.Somasundaram For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in Memo No.363/BCDFGISSSV/2017 dated 17.06.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu by name, Kumar @ Bulb Kumar, aged 31 years, S/o.Kondaiya, residing at No.137, Victoriya Hostel Backside, Triplicane, Chennai-5 and quash the same.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has represented that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.4062 dated 23.08.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked.
3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
