Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel.
This petition has been preferred for a direction to the respondents to produce the records in respect of the petitioner, to appoint him on the respective post and to pay him month to month salary as and when it falls due.
This relief is sought consequent to the petitioner having participated in a recruitment process which was initiated by the respondents. Admittedly the result of the selection process was declared in 2016. Apart from a bald assertion in the writ petition that the total marks obtained by the petitioner was more than the cut off fixed and prescribed, no material has been brought on record in support of this plea.
There is also no explanation for the evident and inordinate laches. Consequently no cause arises for issuance of the writs as prayed for.
Writ petition is dismissed.
