The petitioner, a student of B.Tech Degree Course in Computer Science and Engineering has appeared for the Special Supplementary examination conducted by the University on 19.5.2014 in the paper “CS701 – Industrial Organization and Management” of his 7th Semester. He has obtained a placement in the Tata Consultancy Services as Assistant System Engineer. The joining time is stated to expire on 7.7.2014. He seeks the issue of appropriate directions for completion of the valuation process of his answer paper before the said date. 2. The Standing Counsel appearing for the University, Advocate Millu Dandapani submits that the valuation would be completed only by the end of August, 2014.
3. The petitioner has submitted Ext.P7 representation to the 2nd respondent seeking publication of the results of the 7th Semester Special Supplementary examination and also the 8th Semester examination, expeditiously. He complains that no W.P.(C) No.15025 of 2014 -: 2 :-
action has been taken on the said representation also.
4. Heard. It is contended by the counsel for the petitioner that the University would be in a position to declare the results by the end of June, 2014. This Court is ill-equipped to go into the question as to whether the results could be published earlier and decide what is the optimum time required for completing the valuation process. Those are matters best left to the people who are competent to make such an evaluation.
5. However, since Ext.P7 is pending consideration of the 2nd respondent, I am satisfied that the same is necessary to be considered and finally disposed of without delay.
This Writ Petition is therefore, disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the grievance of the petitioner set out in Ext.P7 representation and to pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a week of the date of production of a copy of this judgment.
