1. The grievance of petitioner is that his application for grant of firearm licence dated 22.06.2019 is pending before District Magistrate, Prayagraj but the same has not been decided till date.
2. Learned Standing Counsel fairly states that in case the matter is still pending and has not been decided, the same may be considered and decided expeditiously.
3. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of finally with a direction to Competent Authority to decide petitioner's application for grant of firearm licence and pass appropriate reasoned order in accordance with law, within a period of one year from today, if there is no other legal impediment.
