The petitioner claims that his name was proposed for appointment of fair price shop dealer of village panchayat Samaspur, District-Meerut in an open meeting of the said village panchayat held on 6.3.2018.
Sri Maheep Singh holding brief of Sri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the meeting of the village panchayat was held as per the provisions of the government order. The meeting was free and the result was fair. However, till date the documentary formalities of the appointment have not been completed and the petitioner has not been issued an appointment letter till date. The petitioner has already submitted a representation to the respondent No.2 highlighting the aforesaid grievances.
Sri Sanjay Ram Tripathi, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State submits that the issues raised by the petitioner are matters of fact which need verification by the competent authority.
No useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending. By consent of the parties, the writ petition is being finally disposed of.
A mandamus is issued to the respondent No.2 commanding him to decide the representation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with a fresh copy of the representation.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of finally.
