Madras High Court|12 June, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The request of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground was refused, by order dated 2.3.2015. As against that, he preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 6.5.2015. But the same is kept pending without disposal. Therefore the petitioner, who has sought for compassionate appointment, has come to this Court seeking a direction for early disposal of his appeal for the purpose of eking out his livelihood.
2. Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, sought some reasonable time for considering the appeal filed by the petitioner.
3. As the petitioner has preferred an appeal against the order dated 2.3.2015 before the first respondent, this Court hereby directs the first respondent to consider the pending appeal on merits and pass appopriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
