Petitioner challenges Ext. P4 order passed by the District Collector calling upon the petitioner to remit 30% of the value of the vehicle coming to Rs. 1,44,000/- for releasing her vehicle KL-11/AG-9907. The vehicle of pf has been seized transporting wheat without any valid permission. 2. A perusal of Ext. P4 order does not indicate any illegality. A Full Bench of this Court in Shan C.T. v. State of Kerala [2010 (3) KHC 333] had clearly indicated that interim orders can be passed after receiving 30% of the value of the vehicle. Though the said case relates to removal of river sand without valid pass, the same principle will be made applicable.
3. In the above circumstances, I do not think that there is any illegality in Ext. P4 order. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed.
However, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the entire matter within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
