Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief -
"i. to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to decide the Revision no.225 of 2017 ( Chand Sigh and others Vs. Ramesh and others) and Reference No.249 under Section 48(3) of U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953."
Both the revision, as also the reference sought to be expedited are pending since the year 2017.
The writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2, the Deputy Director of Consolidation, Saharanpur to dispose of both these cases, by reasoned and speaking orders, after hearing all the necessary parties, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order before him.
The prayer made by counsel for the petitioner that the reference be decided later in time than the revision, is without merit and is refused.
