Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
This writ petition has been filed seeking the following amongst other relief:-
"(i) issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 1/Settlement Officer Consolidation, Gorakhpur, to decide the Appeal No. 589, under section 11(1) of U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, Gaon Sabha Versus Leelawati, Mauja Khonhauli, Tappa Khas, Pargana Tilpur Tehsil Nichlaul, District Maharajganj, within stipulated period."
From a perusal of the record, this Court finds that the petitioner is not a party to the appeal sought to be expedited. The averment in the writ petition is that he is a social worker and, therefore, the writ petition.
In my considered opinion, a social worker has no right to get an appeal between two parties, expedited, merely because he is a social worker.
The writ petition at the instance of the petitioner, is not maintainable and is dismissed, as such.
