Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
The primary prayer made in the writ petition reads thus:
"Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned F.I.R. dated 25.05.2017 (Annexure No. 1), registered as Case Crime no. 188 of 2017 under Section 366, 506 I.P.C., P.S. Ranipur, District Mau, as well as, stay the arrest of the petitioners in the aforesaid case during the pendency of the present writ petition."
Mr. Murtaza, learned AGA, on instructions, submits that the investigating agency has filed a closure/final report under Section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 bearing no. A-1 of 2017 dated 19.09.2017, and in view thereof, this petition renders infructuous.
The petition is, accordingly, disposed of as infructuous.
