1.Sri Rahul Shukla, learned Standing Counsel, has pointed out on the basis of instructions received, which are taken on record, that the petitioners would be required to travel 29 kilometres to take examination, however, provision for transportation is available.
2.In the considered opinion of the Court, distance of 29 kilometres, one way, for travel to the examination centre is on the higher side. The petitioners are students of Sri Kanhya Bhagwan Singh Inter College, Purepahalwan Vaising, Darshan Nagar, Faizabad.
3.District Inspector of Schools, Faizabad, is directed to ensure that remedial measures are taken and institutions mentioned in para 20 of the writ petition, which are located within ten kilometres of the institution, where petitioners are studying, be earmarked for taking examination of the petitioners.
4.In case, none of the said institutions can be utilised, any other institution, that is not beyond 12 kilometres of distance from the institution, where the petitioners are studying, be selected as examination centre.
5.The District Inspector of Schools is directed to remain present in court on 26.2.2014 after making requisite arrangement.
