JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to pay a sum of Rs. 2,86,476/- with regard to the work agreement No.432/DL./2007-08 dated 20.03.2008, between the petitioner and the respondent.
2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.
3. According to the petitioner, he is a contractor and after conducting tender, the respondent has given him some contract works. Though he completed the said works to the fullest satisfaction of the respondent, necessary payment was not settled to the petitioner and in this regard, he has sent several representations, which are said to be pending and hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is now inclined to approach the authorities afresh, by way of proper representation, for settlement of bills.
5. Such being the case, this writ petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such filing, the respondent is directed to consider the same, on merits and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks thereafter. No costs.
