JUDGMENT :
Heard both sides.
2. The appellant-claimant is seeking enhancement compensation aggrieved by the award and decree dated 01/12/2005 passed by the XI Additional Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad in OP.No. 1580 of 2003.
3. The Claims Tribunal awarded total compensation of Rs.1,00,000/-.
4. In case between LATHA WADHWA V/s. STATE OF BIHAR

, and KISHAN GOPAL V/s. LALA , The Apex Court has considered the issue of awarding compensation in respect of children. In the first cited decision, the Supreme Court observed that where the children are aged between 5 to 10 years, an amount of Rs.1,50,000/- compensation and in addition to it Rs.50,000/- towards conventional heads should be added. Here the child is aged about 4 years, so in the above circumstances, the appellant-claimant is awarded an amount of Rs.1,25,000/- towards compensation and Rs.50,000/- is added to it towards conventional heads, thus the total amount of compensation awarded to the appellant-claimant is Rs.1,75,000/- with interest @ 7.5% per annum.
5. With the above modification, this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of. No costs.
4. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any, pending in this appeal shall stands closed.
