An Exemption Application on behalf of Superintendent of Police, Kannauj, has been filed by learned AGA is taken on record.
Learned AGA has filed counter affidavit on behalf of State, is also taken on record.
Today, a progress report has been filed by learned AGA. This affidavit has been sworn by Sri Subhdh Kumar Jaiswal, presently posted as Circle Officer, Tirwa, District Kannauj.
I have gone through the counter affidavit, it has been mentioned that the corpus is subjected to "honour killing" by her uncle and others. The case was registered under Sections 302, 201, 120B IPC. All the four persons are behind the bars in an unfortunate incident whereby a young lady was done to death by none other then her own family members in the name of their "sham honour".
This Court hope and trust that the concern police would do every possible thing, within the ambit of law, to punish these earring offenders, to take them to logical conclusion.
Under the circumstances, this habeas corpus is no more survive and disposed of.
The amount deposited shall be returned back to the petitioner no. 2 Amit Kumar by Registrar General, High Court, Allahabad, within fortnight, in the light of progress report.
