Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.
By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed the following prayers:-
"(I) Issue a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus directing to the respondent no.2-Collector/District Magistrate, Gorakhpur to decide the claim application of the petitioner dated 16.08.2019 under Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Sarvahit Bima Yojna within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
The prayer prayed for is not as such which cannot be granted by this Court hence, the same is granted in part.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2-Collector/District Magistrate, Gorakhpur to decide the claim application of the petitioner dated 16.08.2019 within eighteen weeks from today after hearing all the concerned parties.
It goes without saying that this Court has not entered into merits of the case.
