JUDGMENT / ORDER

Conviction and sentence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act are under challenge in this revision. Pending the proceedings, the parties settled the dispute amicably and compounded the offence. The composition filed by them is accepted and permission is granted for composition under Section 320 (6) of Cr.P.C on Crl.M.A No.3300 of 2014. In the above circumstances, the conviction and sentence against the revision petitioners under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act in S.T No.334 of 2007 of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court- IV, Kochi are set aside and the revision petitioners are released from prosecution on the benefit of the acquittal under Section 320 (8) of Cr.P.C.
