HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No. 34635 of 2014 ORDER:
Pursuant to the notification dated 15.9.2013 for enlistment of LPG distributorship, first petitioner has applied for selection to two locations i.e., YMR colony and Bollavaram, second petitioner has applied for selection Bollavaram location and third petitioner has applied for Ammavarisala.
Grievance of petitioners in necessitating to file this writ petition is that they are not subjected to selection process in arbitrary and discriminatory manner, though they are eligible in all respects.
2. On instructions, learned standing counsel for second respondent corporation submits that first petitioner has applied for two locations and she is eligible for said two locations and second petitioner has applied for Bollavaram location and she is eligible for said location and the list of eligible candidates and dates of draw of is not finalized and candidates will be informed accordingly. It is further stated that third petitioner has applied for Ammavarisala and third petitioner was in the list of eligible candidates and letter was sent to her and list was hoisted in the website. That draw for Ammavarisala was conducted on 12.11.2014 and candidature of petitioner was subject matter of selection and in the draw Sri Surya Narayana chari was selected for Ammavarisala location.
3. Learned standing counsel for second respondent therefore submits that candidature of first and second petitioners is under consideration and insofar as third petitioner is concerned, the cause in the writ petition does not survive and it has become infructuous.
4. In view of the submissions of learned standing counsel for second respondent that candidature of first and second petitioners is under consideration and cause insofar as third petitioner no more survives, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition. Recording the submissions of learned standing counsel for second respondent corporation, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Sequel to the same, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, stand dismissed.
