JUDGMENT / ORDER

The writ petition was filed challenging the election notification issued at Ext.P2. Ext.P2 is a notice issued by the Returning Officer under Rule 35 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Rules, 1969. Section 28-B confers power in the State Co-operative Election Commission to convene elections to all co-operative societies covered under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969. In such circumstances, Ext.P2 is found to be bad and the same is set aside. The fourth respondent society would be entitled to take a resolution and forward the same to the State Co-operative Election Commission through proper channel for expediting elections. Since the term of the existing managing committee is said to expire on 20.12.2014, the Joint Registrar shall expedite the election process through the W.P.(C)No.32880 of 2014 -:2:-
administrative committee or Administrator appointed to the fourth respondent society.
Writ petition is disposed off.
