Petitioner is working as Sub Inspector in U.P. Police and is due to retire in December, 2019. He is presently posted at Saharanpur. Petitioner's grievance is that in terms of the transfer policy dated 29.3.2018, petitioner is entitled to be posted at a place of his liking for the last two years of his service. Submission is that petitioner belongs to Ghaziabad, and he may be accommodated in any district nearby Ghaziabad.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that the petitioner's grievance shall be considered by the authority concerned, in accordance with law and in terms of the transfer policy. Although it is stated that a representation has been made but no such representation is on record.
In the facts and circumstances, noticed above, writ petition stands disposed of, permitting the petitioner to represent in the matter before the respondent no. 2, alongwith certified copy of this order, annexing all materials in support of his claim within a period of two weeks from today. The representation of the petitioner shall be considered by the authority concerned, keeping in view the transfer policy as well as the exigency of work and also suitability and requirement of petitioner's being placed at such place. The required exercise shall be undertaken within a period of two months thereafter.
