1. The applicant herein, who is the wife of convict-prisoner, has filed the present application seeking temporary bail for a period of two weeks on the ground of attending the after-death ceremony of his grand-mother.
2. Heard learned APP and perused the jail record of the applicant-convict. Considering the facts of the case and the jail record of the convict which shows that the convict had reported back in time, we are inclined to grant him temporary bail.
3. In view of the above, the convict is ordered to be released on temporary bail for a period of TWO WEEKS from the date of his release on furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs.5000/- to the satisfaction of jail authority. On completion of the above period, the convict shall surrender to custody forthwith failing which the investigating agency shall be at liberty to take recourse of law.
4. The application stands disposed of accordingly. Rule is made absolute. Direct service permitted.
